Setting up and running your own business is truly challenging and difficult, especially if you have no clue about these things. But beginners should never give up with their business goals because you just really need to push yourself to the limits in order to achieve business success. As with any other endeavor, knowledge is always the key to success, and you will have better chances of succeeding if you know a lot of concepts about what you are doing. You will never be able to achieve business success if you do not know what it takes to have a successful business. In most cases, business owners just stagnate on the first few steps of their businesses by setting up goals and objectives. However, these owners just automatically quit if they encounter a lot of troubles and problems along the road. You need to remember that the road to business success is a very difficult one, and you need to practice good habits in order to achieve success. Here are a few tips on how you can succeed in your business endeavors.

One of the major aspects that most business owners neglect is customer service. This might already seem like a cliché, but customer service should always be at the top of the list. You need to remember that your customers are your lifeline in the business. You will never be able to run and manage your business if you have no customers. You will not be able to expand your business if you do not have a lot of loyal clients. Having a huge customer base will truly set more opportunities for your company, and will bring you higher levels of success. With these things in mind, you definitely need to focus your attention on customer service. Customer service is probably the most important success factor that every business owner should remember. Try to look for ways on how to make things easier for your customers because they will eventually thank you for it. Also, try to look for solutions in case your customers encounter a few issues with your products and services. Often times, business owners are too defensive about their products that they do not really listen to what their customers have to say. You should always take the time to listen to your customer’s feedback, suggestions, complaints and comments because they will eventually help you in the long run.

Another success factor that business owners should always remember is being able to adapt to the changes in the market. This is also a very important success factor because if you do not know how to adapt to changes, you will only end up getting lost in the midst of all the other companies and businesses in the industry. You need to remember that change is the only thing that is permanent in the world. This means that the market landscape also tends to change from time to time. Business owners should look for ways on how to adapt to these changes and how to respond to the varying needs of their customers.

Wed, 02 Nov 2011 20:04:00 -0700 The Power of Positive Thinking and Healing The Body http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/the-power-of-positive-thinking-and-healing-th http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/the-power-of-positive-thinking-and-healing-th

The body and mind are intertwined. Every thought, feeling and intention sends ripples throughout our bodies. The result depends on the nature of our thoughts, feelings and intentions. The power of positive thinking is so incredible.

A doctor explains it like this;

Our body is so entangled with the mind that our genes are actually colored by how we think and feel on a daily basis. Having a particular gene that might produce a disease or protect you from disease, e.g. can be switched on and off according to how you process the daily experiences of your life.

The implications of this are enormous. Every function of the human body is susceptible to thoughts and feelings. Scientific studies on DNA have even shown that infants require a mother’s loving touch for growth. When this touch is consistently deprived, some of the genes that are responsible for growth simply switch off.

The entire body is hardwired to physically feel every emotion. As it does so, our emotional challenges occasionally show up as physical symptoms in our bodies. Although there are many different causes of cancer, for instance, one factor is the suppression of negative emotion, it has been shown that cancers generally progress fastest in people who hold in deep emotional pain, often gathered over many years. The great news is that releasing that pain can halt and even reverse the cancer.

Brendan bays describes herself curing a ‘basketball’ sized tumor in her abdomen in six weeks, principally through releasing suppressed negative emotion. She describes the process of peeling off the layers of emotion as being similar to peeling an onion. In a demonstration of the link between mind and body, layers of her tumor peeled off too.

The power of positive thinking also means we regularly cure aches, pains, diseases and illnesses doing just this! Science has proven that a person who believes she or he is receiving medicine, although it is really a dummy one-a placebo- will usually be cured because of their belief. For instance, in one scientific study patients were given morphine for a serious pain every day for 3 days, but on the fourth day the morphine was secretly swapped for a placebo. (A saltwater solution). Yet the patients still received the pain relief as they did before and even the medical tests recorded the same physiological changes that were recorded when the patient received the morphine. They believed that they were receiving morphine and why wouldn’t they? The belief simply neutralized the pain.

Mon, 17 Oct 2011 01:45:00 -0700 Fear is in the Way When We Test for Success http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/fear-is-in-the-way-when-we-test-for-success http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/fear-is-in-the-way-when-we-test-for-success

I read somewhere that if a human being had the same capability as a flea, size for size, then they would be able to jump over the tower at Canary Wharf. Fleas have an amazing capacity to jump.  If you take the same flea and put it in a glass then cover the glass so the flea can’t jump out. In only a week the flea will lose its ability to ever jump out of the glass. This is an incredible analogy of what goes on in life. People stifle their ability to leap to huge heights. They take on board what people tell them, what they hear and absorb it as their truth. It’s so powerful! You will now start to understand how when you test for success how powerful limitations and believing what other people tell you to is going to impact on your life!

One of the things that holds most people back though is fear, the fear of failure, just coming out of your comfort zone. Your own bubble of experience is your comfort zone to a certain extent, and how we see ourselves. We will always perform according to our self image. We are very much like a room thermostat. You know if we set the thermostat, then opened the window, the temperature will drop, then settle back eventually. That’s exactly what we do with ourselves. We have what is called a Psycho Cybernetic Mechanism, which is like our personal thermostat. When we start to come out of our comfort zone, we feel that, ooohhh, don’t like that. A lot of people think it’s easier to go back into that comfort zone. They are fearful of change, people stay in wrong relationships, for example, because it’s what they know. The fear of stepping out and leaving that relationship, is the fear of the unknown.

Fear is a very negative emotion, fear, worry, doubt, anxiety. This is the stuff we need to get rid of. We need to think positively. We need to tell ourselves we can do things. But we also need to be feeling empowered and at peace. You can walk into a room and you know if two people have been arguing, they don’t even need to say it, they are radiating it. You can feel it. Likewise, when you’re with people that are positive and upbeat it makes you feel good. There is so much power in the energy we are giving off. You get rid of limiting beliefs and fear and then test for success again, I bet you are already further down the road to success than you thought!

Fri, 14 Oct 2011 07:37:00 -0700 How Visualisations Help in Your Steps to Success http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/how-visualisations-help-in-your-steps-to-succ http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/how-visualisations-help-in-your-steps-to-succ

If you can learn how to visualise, this is a massive factor in your steps to success. Visualisations are images we create in our minds. Our brain and its non-conscious functions remember everything we see or imagine repeatedly. We can replay these “mental movies” over and over again on the screen of our mind as many times as we want. Visualisations register in our subconscious just as powerfully as images we have actually seen. To our brain, they are real. Therefore, we can create the reality we want on the inside first, by imagining what we want.  When we use visualisations over and over again, we accelerate neural connections much faster than experiencing an actual event. Although it is called “visualisation,” it is not necessarily visual.  Some people don’t see mental movies or images in their mind, but experience a strong “feeling” that can include sounds, tastes or emotions. One is not necessarily better than the other.

Seeing and feeling is believing, if you want to speed up the steps to success. We believe what we see and what we feel. This is true for actually seeing something as well as mental seeing. As you create an image on the screen of your mind, your brain believes it is happening and it is real. Repetition of the visions causes the neural patterns to connect and strengthen, thereby causing the image to become more real. Your mind then begins to believe it actually happened or is now happening.  Subconsciously, it’s an event that has actually taken place. Combined with affirmations, it becomes a powerful tool in creating what you want in your physical world. You set up the brain to feel and expect the “new” image as part of your current reality which it then helps you find and act in the physical world.

Set aside a time and place daily for your meditations, visualisations and affirmations. It’s better if you can do it at the same time every day.  First thing in the morning or just before bed when you are a little tired. Visualisation begins by closing your eyes and creating a mental image of what you want. At first this may seem a bit strange and the images are unclear. That’s all right. The more you practice, the clearer the images become. Always try to picture the same images every day, adding more detail as you become more comfortable with the process. Look at the pictures in your mind as a movie, with yourself as the actor and play out the new you and success vividly.  Build the feeling of success of having achieved your goal.

When neural pathways are formed and strengthened at a subconscious level, you automatically seek “out there” matches for “in here.” The firing threshold of the neurons is lowered and you create a subconscious pattern that helps you automatically achieve your new vision. The other thing that occurs is that you now have a neurological “mental station” set that can broadcast the frequency of what you want 24/7 just like a radio station. The stronger the mental pattern, the more frequent you will think about it consciously and subconsciously. This is so important to understand in all that you do so it can really start you off in your steps to success.

Sun, 25 Sep 2011 20:56:00 -0700 Enjoy a Happy Life: Sue Stone’s Five Point Plan to Happy Living http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/enjoy-a-happy-life-sue-stones-five-point-plan http://thomasnewby.posterous.com/enjoy-a-happy-life-sue-stones-five-point-plan

If you think there is nothing in the world that can help you to live your life to the fullest, think again. Consider this five-point plan and be honest to yourself at the end of the day if these work effectively for you.

1. Be grateful for everything that is in your life. Work, love, money, children, family – all these are accessories of happiness. Focus on what is right and not what isn’t. It’s all a matter of a positive disposition.

2. Focus on your goals in life or better still, focus on something which you think will make you grow as a better person. Don’t push yourself too hard.  When you want something, have the patience to work for it and allow it to happen. Don’t get frustrated. Enjoy every moment of hard work exerted and don’t consider it a burden. The better you work on something you really want, the more you will be able to appreciate it when it is finally yours.

3. Keep in touch with the present. This can be done by making it a habit to write down at least 3-5 personal goals you want to work on and write them in the present tense as if you have already achieved them. This will be great for motivation and to keep the momentum going.

4. Feel your goals. Don’t fret about people who imagine things. It is good for you and your soul. Visualizing yourself as if you have achieved your goals will allow you to feel that victorious feeling deep within that will really help to manifest them. Really work on creating that happiness movie in your mind.

5. Keep a daily positive attitude. This is a very important goal that should be achieved by every individual. Keeping a positive attitude will counter all doubts and hesitations that stop you from achieving your dreams. Keep the momentum alive and remind yourself that this does take time but practising and being aware of your thoughts will really help in retraining your mind to one of positivity and happiness.
